Design/Build Packages for The Colony at Lincoln Peak
Vermont has a long tradition of independent craftsmen who have honed their skills to create rugged dwellings of lasting beauty - strong enough to withstand the demanding Vermont climate and handsome enough to grace the landscape. The Colony at Lincoln Peak provides the land - six home sites of individual character, mature specimen trees, views and a convenient location near skiing, grocery/deli and golf. We challenged some local artisan/builders to consider The Colony home sites and design an affordable mountain home of quality construction and durable appeal. The following packages are optional; the Colony lots may be purchased separately and homes may be customized, altered or packaged with different lots. These homes are just the beginning of an exciting new lifestyle at Sugarbush, Vermont.

The inspiration for the RUSTIC CAPE originates in the Adirondacks, where wealthy New Yorkers of the 1890's vacationed in tent platforms which rapidly evolved into very fancy, rustic cabins that blended into the surrounding woods and utilized natural materials. One of the most popular architects of the period, William Durant, developed a style which swept across the country, becoming the "lodge" house in the west. The home pictured above was commissioned for a large estate parcel near Mt Monadnock in New Hampshire. For the Colony, Weather Hill has combined the efficient, green construction of the modular frame with unique, rustic qualities and detailing to create a durable, intriguing product.
